ASSISTANT MANAGER: DEMAND AND ACQUISITION
• Salary range: R206 982 - R240 291 per annum (Level 9) • (Ref: ACT/388)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • 2 An appropriate three (3) year relevant tertiary qualification, coupled with a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience, one (1) of which should have been at supervisory level • Project management skills • Knowledge of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations • Knowledge of SCM principles and its objectives • Knowledge of the Basic Accounting
System (BAS) as well as HardCat Asset Management System • Good office administration, planning and organisational skills • Good communication skills (written and verbal) • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) • A valid Code 08/EB driver’s licence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee the application of and compliance with Supply Chain Management principles and policies during the demand and requisition phases • Monitor and manage the compilation and consolidation of the procurement plan and ensure that set Procurement Preference Objectives (PPO) targets are complied with • Manage the payment process and monitor compliance with service level agreements • Coordinate and manage the bid process and provide administrative support during the bid process • Supervise, develop and manage employees’ performance in accordance with the Employee Performance Management and Development System (EPMDS).
