Kyrgyzstan Political Officer

PAE Government Services, under contract for the U.S. Department of State, is seeking applications from well-qualified U.S. citizens for the following position within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE):

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Advanced degree in international studies, public policy, political science or law or related field
• Diplomatic experience or experience working in political affairs with international organizations or governments
• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in preparing analytical reports
• Knowledge of regional political history and developments
• Some knowledge of the OSCE principles and commitments
• Experience in liaising with governmental and non-governmental organizations
• Experience in the areas associated with political monitoring and reporting, early warning and conflict prevention mechanisms, inter-ethnic and inter-confessional relations, transnational threats (border security and management, antiterrorism, counter-narcotics)
• Experience in identifying potential relevant programs and projects and manage their subsequent implementation, monitoring and reporting
• Fluency in Russian
