Manager: Health & Safety


The successful candidate will be expected to manage and monitor existing standards, processes, communication and systems for ensuring health and safety at TSB. Specific responsibilities will be to: • Direct the continuous review and improvement of health and safety policies, programmes and procedures • Monitor an integrated safety and health risk control programme • Liaise with relevant authorities and assist in respect of audits and remedial actions • Assist Management to properly assess risks to health and safety and implement measures to prevent incidents • Direct activities to ensure that the workplace satisfies occupational hygiene requirements • Co-ordinate and participate in inspections, surveys and audits to monitor compliance • Undertake budget management and cost control • Manage staff • Undertake general administration and reporting.


The ideal candidate will possess a National Diploma in Safety Management, while any other tertiary OH qualification would be advantageous. At least 5 years’ safety and health management experience is essential, 3 of which should have been at managerial level. Computer skills should include SAP FI/Cost Control/PD and MS Office. Sound knowledge of health and safety practices as well as statutory requirements will complete the ideal profile.
