Job Details Salary: from £32,000+ Contract Type: Permanent, full time ( x 4 roles) Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 0900-1730hrs Location: Crawley, West Sussex Closing date for applications: Sunday, 8th January 2011 Role Purpose Responsible for in-depth analyses of market intelligence, market share, competitive positioning, system settings and influences, pricing actions and provide creative and relevant recommendations, solutions and strategies to maximise route revenue utilising all Pricing & Revenue Management variables and distribution channels Responsibilities Performance exceeds or meets key RM indicators Performance against planned volume, unit revenue and total revenue budgets Recommended actions successfully implemented and delivered according to plan/proposal Market share exceeds or is equal to capacity share Number/volume of opportunities identified and targeted Provide monthly reports pertaining to the performance of implemented strategies and the consequential actions/amendments to strategy that will be implemented Recommended actions successfully implemented and delivered according to plan/proposal Quality of RM system outputs Analyses are produced on time, accurately, and recommendations are backed by sound commercial judgment Improvements to existing - and implementation of new systems and processes that reduce cost and/or improve departmental efficiency i.e. greater and/or faster output with the same resources Incremental traffic/revenue generated through recommended actions Competitiveness of fares in all market segments against benchmark carriers Fare changes effected within specified turnaround – and accuracy SLAs RM system recommendations approved & uploaded within agreed SLA Requirements Educated to a university degree level preferably in economics, finance, statistics or mathematics or extensive commercial experience in a Commercial role. Excellent analytical & numerical skills with practical working experience in a role requiring these skills Able to articulate and communicate business proposals and actions at a senior level Ability to think strategically and work in a proactive manner using initiative Knowledge of airline reservations systems, revenue management and airline pricing with a basic knowledge of Statistics | |||||||||||
