Salary: R434 505 all-inclusive salary package per annum (Level 11) (Ref. 79/2012)


Requirements: • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification plus 5 years’ appropriate experience • High level of computer literacy and sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications are essential • Knowledge of Government policies and prescripts • Planning and organisational skills • An understanding of Cabinet processes • Communication and writing skills • The ability to work under pressure and be prepared and willing to work long hours • Good interpersonal relations.


Duties: • Be responsible for supervising, coordinating and monitoring executive and administrative support in the Director-General’s office • Act as an Executive Personal Assistant to the Director-General • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Director-General • Oversee the management of the Director-General’s diary, logistical arrangements and events coordination • Deal with any queries via e-mail, phone or general correspondence • Liaise with various stakeholders interacting with the Department • Serve as a link between the Director-General and Ministry • Provide secretarial services to management meetings • Supervise and manage the performance of staff in the office • Manage the procurement of all office supplies, equipment and furniture.
