Communication/Press/Journalism (Grade AD5) European Commission
3.2.1. QUALIFICATIONS
A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma preferably in the field of communication, press or journalism.
3.2.2. EXPERIENCE
By the deadline for submission of applications, and in addition to the qualifications required under 3.2.1, candidates must have at least 3 years' full time professional experience gained after obtaining the diploma required under "Qualifications" in a field related to the nature of the duties described under point 1 (journalism/press/communication). Out of these 3 years of experience, at least 2 years of practice in speechwriting are required.
3.2.3. LANGUAGES
Under point (e) of Article 12(2) of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants candidates must have a thorough knowledge of one of the Community languages and a satisfactory knowledge of another of the Community languages.
To meet the needs of the service, an excellent command of French and a very good knowledge of English are essential.

4. ADVANTAGES
Sound knowledge of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and working experience as journalist/press officer/speechwriter in the field of Agriculture and/or Rural Development is most desired.
Working experience with the AgriNetwork for European journalists, knowledge of procedures of the Commission as well as the ordinary legislative procedure would be strong assets.
