Position Summary
This position will be responsible for interfacing with Engineering, Permitting, Contracts & Procurement, Field Operations, Greenfield Project Teams and the E&P and Construction Contractors in Trinidad or internationally for Brownfield Projects.
As part of the PMT, this position will act as the construction interface representative for the company in all matters related to construction issues and any construction works on producing facilities in Trinidad.
Key Accountabilities
Core Accountabilities
• Ensure that Construction safety is addressed in the Engineering design phase
• Interface with E&P Contractors with respect to the Construction aspects of the “Brownfield” E&P services that they are providing including all BG constructability model input reviews.
• Interface with the “Brownfield” Construction Contractors once this scope has been awarded including all BG constructability model input reviews..
• Interface with the “Greenfield” EPC Contractor once work has progressed.
• Interface with the Operations teams on constructability aspects of Brownfield work.
• Interface with company Project and Operations teams for each of the Projects and/or maintenance activities that are to be executed as a Brownfield project.
• Interface with Commission team to develop plans to complete construction by area in accordance with commissioning and start-up requirements
• Ensure that the Management of Change (MoC) system is being used for any changes to the site work
• Ensure a suitable Mechanical Completion database is developed and implemented. It is intended that this will be maintained and verified by the QC team.
• Participate in all drawing squadron checks on behalf of Construction which requires interfacing with Engineering including any vendor data record books as required
• Co-ordinate responses to site technical queries with the Engineering team and BGTT office with respect to each contract.
• Ensure that Contractors comply with the relevant engineering codes and standards, i.e. In-country, International and/or BG engineering codes and standards
• Provide construction input into staffing plans, scheduling, planning, and cost control and verify the scope to be executed is achievable and project objectives are met.
• Provide input to the planning and scheduling to verify feasibility is maintained and project objectives are met
• Monitor and report progress to the Project Manager and others as required
• Assist the Project Managers and Engineering Managers with other tasks as needed
• Attend various weekly and/or monthly meetings
• Issue resolution

People Management
• Provide leadership and direction for direct and indirect reports
• Provide leadership and direction for the efficient coordination of the Construction Contractors
• Maintain positive relations with key stakeholders

• Ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all employees are accountable for ensuring that they take care of themselves and adopt exemplary safe behaviours.

• Champion the project HSSE and Quality objectives
• Ensure that all Company and Contractor HSSE requirements are fulfilled
• Report incidents and near misses immediately. .
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed:
Significant experience at Commissioning Manager level.
Demonstrated experience leading the output of major EPC contractors
Demonstrated Strengths in leading site execution
Ability to develop safe systems of work
An understanding of managing interfaces
Had successful interaction with a range of stakeholders
Able to apply appropriate technical standards
Demonstrated experience in the management of completion systems
Good understanding of contractual terminology and project processes
Able to apply HSSE principles across all technical and execution activities

 
Knowledge, Languages,Skills and Attributes:
 
Educated to degree level OR a minimum of five projects at Commissioning Manager level
Strong leadership skills particularly in influencing and motivational skills
Good team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
Good communicator, able to challenge others in a constructive manner
Able to network with a range of stakeholders
Able to plan and organize work effectively, with good decision making skills
Able to address of facilitate change
