BLOUNT Europe is recruiting a (m/f): EMEA Supply Chain Manager
The Key objective is to direct and coordinate the management of the daily execution of EMEA finished goods planning for the stocking locations throughout the EMEA zone.
The Supply Chain Manager will report to the European Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
Own the S&OP process aligning communications between Commercial and Supply Chain partners ensuring connectivity with Business Planning process:
  • Develop EMEA wide direction for inter-company, vended products and finished good production planning to ensure company targets are met.
  • Analyze planning processes and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels while balancing marketing and financial interests.
  • In a growing sector, integration in the supply chain management of new brands, new plants and acquisitions.
  • Take an integrated view of the new product development challenges and trade brands and design solutions that generate the agility, reliability and efficiency for product manufacturing success by managing Supply chain complexity.
  • Challenge and coach forecasting and scheduling teams to create supply plans that meet service and cost targets.
  • Formulate and implement tactical solutions to support key market strategies and goals.
  • Provide leadership for projects involving design, specification, upgrade, and implementations and coordinate effects between manufacturing, marketing, engineering, product line, sales, and finance.
  • Provide input to the development of EMEA supply chain performance expectations.
  • Supervise daily activities and personnel as well as performance and career development for personnel.
  • Build functional expertise within the team.
Prepare the Executive S&OP meeting to align on strategy proposals and improvement plans for business challenges:
  • Business metrics
  • Marketing Intelligence and strategic proposals
  • Prepare proposals to mitigate SC challenges and optimize profitability
  • Proactively communicate urgencies in order to satisfy and/or avoid backordered products, take appropriate action to optimize customer service levels
Profile
  • A degree preferably in Business related area (Supply chain, Manufacturing, Procurement)
  • 10 years of experience in product/brand management and international relations with external suppliers.
  • A Supply Chain certification (e.g. APICS) is an asset;
  • A minimum of six years planning experience in a manufacturing environment and a past experience in Customer Service/Logistics/Warehouse is an asset;
  • Strong analytical, systems and numeracy skills with capability to master complexity;
  • The ability for continuous improvement, problem solving and decision making;
  • Superior team player who keeps calm under challenging situations and with ability to multitask;
  • Strong customer focus (internal & external);
  • Excellent social, influencing and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of Process Excellence and / or LEAN concepts is a plus;
  • Language skills: Fluency in English is required; Knowledge of French; (other languages are a plus);
  • ERP experience – basic knowledge is a must
