International Resources Group Gender Experts


International Resources Group (IRG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Engility, seeks experienced Gender Experts interested in potential short- or long-term assignments for current and upcoming projects located worldwide.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with project team to successfully implement the gender focus strategy across the project
  • Work closely with M&E team to ensure sex and age disaggregated data is collected and gender analysis is applied
  • Provide gender technical reviews to program tools and internal and external communications as needed
  • Work closely with project staff to build their understanding of gender issues
  • Conduct gender assessments and analysis, advise on gender integration in all processes and activities, and provide guidance on indicators and performance monitoring plans related to gender
  • Provide recommendations to program changes based on M&E results
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in development, including field-based experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in gender or women-related issues, including gender assessments, gender mainstreaming, and gender integration
  • Experience in a Gender Specialist/Gender Expert position on past development projects preferred
  • Master’s degree in gender studies, development, or a relevant social science discipline
  • Experience in mentoring and training in gender issues, collaborating with government and civil society groups, and program implementation with a gender focus
  • Experience working with USAID and other large international donors required
  • Fluency in English required; Fluency in another language preferred
