An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a high calibre learning and development expert to drive the training strategy within the Global Corporate Payments business in Europe. The role encompasses scoping, designing, developing and implementing an overall training and development programme for a pan-European account development and sales organisation (circa 400 employees across Europe).
The open position reports into the Vice President of Global Field Enablement. The team is responsible for providing training to the field (sales and account development) teams as well as several other core functions which support the performance of the GCP organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
 
  •  Creation and ownership of the European learning and development strategy, balancing global objectives with regional and market specific needs
- Design, develop and rollout best-in-class training and learning programmes across 15 European markets
- Tailor centrally developed training programmes to local EMEA markets and requirements
- Drive significant improvement in the knowledge, skills and behaviors of the sales and account development professionals
- Deliver complex training programmes successfully through both external vendors and also self-delivery
- Leverage a range of multiple learning channels, including online, to enable the field to be successful
- Manage relationships and communications with senior stakeholders/ country managers
- Budget management for European training, including tracking/ measuring global investments
- Overall ownership of European learning calendar to ensure training is optimally timed; aligning with Marketing, Regulatory teams etc.
- Institute a metrics-based approach to link training results to overall business goals
- Manage a full-time L&D contractor resource
- Provide and leverage support and expertise with Global Field Enablement leaders and teams to drive efficiencies and effectiveness

- Proven thought leader, having demonstrated the ability to drive transformational change as well as business results
- Expertise in current learning methodology and experience in leading European deployment of training curriculum
- Experience of delivering effective learning through online learning methods
- Experience communicating and influencing senior leadership
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Self-motivated with project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (experience working on change management projects desirable)
- Budget management and forecasting experience
-Ability to successfully work across a matrix, global organizational structure
