Description:	Faculty of Health Sciences School of Nursing Lecturer – Ref.: H1212-025   Duties and responsibilities: Design, coordinate and implement creative and innovative teaching and learning programmes. Produce, maintain and facilitate research outputs. Implement, monitor and maintain quality standards in teaching, learning, research, academic citizenship and community engagement. Teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. Involvement in professional and academic citizenship. Contribute towards community engagement and outreach. Inherent requirements: Relevant Master’s Degree in Nursing and will be required to enrol for a Doctoral Degree at the first available opportunity, if not yet attained by the time of appointment. Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse (General, Psychiatric, Community Health Care), Midwife/Accoucher, Nursing Education and Health Care Management. Good academic record and completion of qualifications in the minimum period. Achievement in scholarship development in all three areas: teaching, discovery and engagement. Computer literacy in MS Word and the Internet. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function comfortably in the University’s parallel medium and multicultural working environment. Valid drivers’ license. Recommendations: Completed Assessor training successfully. Completed Clinical Preceptor training successfully.
