Proposal Writer KPMG


The Proposal Writer will be responsible for ensuring that best practice is applied to proposals across all disciplines and that the proposal process is followed. The role also involves raising awareness of the proposals process and sharing best practice within the national practice.
Specific areas of responsibility will include:
  • Steering the development of the member firm's approach to proposals;
  • Developing the national proposal strategy, disseminating proposals best practice and raising awareness of the proposal process;
  • Providing strategic input to the member firms' most important proposals including:
    • gathering and analyzing information & communicating with team members
    • providing input and advice on team selection
    • co-coordinating with marketing and/or external suppliers
    • sharing best practice on written documents and presentations
    • advising and coaching for member firm client visits and meeting
    • developing proposal strategies and the identification of key issues
    • facilitating proposals meetings and workshops
    • advising on project management and all logistical aspects of the proposal
    • advising proposal team members on the requirements of their role
    • evaluating the proposal document with regards to content and the layout
    • advising on the use of external consultants as appropriate
    • debriefing key decision makers
    • Writing commercial texts for different kind of media
  • Develop communication campaigns;
  • Leading and facilitating proposals workshops and training sessions;
  • Making suggestions for new and more effective ways of working;
  • Owning, developing and promoting tools and templates for working on proposals;
  • Reviewing proposals documents for KPMG firm's best practice content;
  • Maintaining a local proposal library of best practice.
Requirements
  • Strong educational background
  • 6 - 8 years experience in a marketing and sales environment
  • Commercial, proposals, business development or marketing background
  • Excellent project management skills and strong organizational ability
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to identify best practice, communicate progress and resolve issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people across a wide spread of lines of businesses and functions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload and work well without supervision
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and work under pressure
  • Clarity of expression and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • English native with strong knowledge of Dutch, French
