Research Assistant – Energy Transition Project CEPS - Centre for European Policy Studies


The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), a Brussels-based European policy research institute, has an immediate vacancy for a Research Assistant – “Energy Transition Project”.
The Research Assistant will contribute to the work of the Energy Transition Project, which is an umbrella for activities aimed at enabling the energy transition in central Europe.
Tasks will include:
  • Assisting in the preparation of project meetings (workshops, roundtables, webinars etc.)
  • Providing research assistance for the final deliverables of the project (policy briefs etc.)
  • Contributing to other ongoing activities of the energy and climate change unit
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent professional/academic experience in economics or other European and energy related studies
  • Excellent understanding of EU energy sector and EU energy and climate change policies
  • Excellent English writing and presentation skills are essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Language skills in one or several of the Visegrad languages is an asset
Position and compensation will be adjusted according to qualifications. We offer a stimulating work environment of more than 50 colleagues of some 20 nationalities. The post could start as early as late-January 2013 and is limited to twelve months, with possibility of extension.
