We are looking for Senior Consultant with M&A due diligence and project management experience to lead financial due diligence and related activities. In addition, candidates will be expected to leverage technical and organizational skills to coordinate and manage full service Deloitte diligence teams, liaising and building relationships with financial advisors, investments banks, legal advisors, corporate lenders, investors and other stakeholders on an agreed scope of work. As our clients seek to grow their businesses, our M&A Transaction Services team provide expertise in performing due diligence on targets and assisting in its integration strategy.   As a member of our M&A Transaction Services team within Financial Advisory, you will help strategic buyers and private equity firms by conducting financial due diligence and providing strategic advisory in the context of the transactions. Using your skills and leveraging our global network of experts, you will provide insight to companies in every industry, and in every situation. The result? Our clients will be better positioned to leverage the opportunities in the marketplace and achieve their strategic objectives.     As a Senior Consultant within our M&A Transaction Services group you will:

  • Leverage and further expand your expertise in transaction services and industry specialization through challenging and high profile deal-flow
  • Develop solutions and recommendations on normalized EBITDA, deal price, working capital adjustments, earn-outs, acquisition synergies
  • Develop recommendations and commentary on sale and purchase agreements by leveraging due diligence findings
  • Comment and participate on post transaction integration planning and processes
  • Manage / work with due diligence team members across all Deloitte functions

Requirements:
  • A professional accounting designation is essential (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA)
  • Hold a CBV or CA-CF designation (Senior Consultant willing to enroll in program)
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting, and transaction services, namely financial due diligence and/or with a clear grasp of the M&A lifecycle
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, in both English and French is essential
  • Very strong in Excel and good working knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Able to advise clients on M & A and good business acumen
  • Strong report writing and project management skills
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the target business, its industry and its key drivers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality work
  • Canadian travel required (up to 35%) and occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA on client work assignments
