Transformation Manager, Azerbaijan

About the Job: 
FINCA International is looking for a Transformation Manager. S/he will be responsible for the coordination, oversight, and implementation of transformation of FINCA, Azerbaijan LLNBCO into a licensed bank. S/he will report directly to the CEO of FINCA, Azerbaijan.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • In coordination with the management team to develop bank transformation plan;
  • Contemplate all steps of the establishment of the bank and transferring FINCA Azerbaijan's assets and operations to the bank;
  • Discuss with management team to identify the specific expectations and needs;
  • Build the transformation team; distribute the responsibilities of each team member;
  • Determine the reporting order and supervise the team;
  • Coordinate and advise on preparation, collection and submitting of documents for the preliminary and final applications to Central Bank for a bank license;
  • Prepare the business plan, coordinate the activities for the preparation of the business plan and in coordination with the management identify strategic targets and financial prognosis;
  • Act as the contact point and maintain the communication with Central Bank through the process of transformation;
  • Timely fix any incompliance detected by central bank and resubmit; 
  • Ensure preparation of all policies, procedures, and regulation in accordance with the banking legislation;
  • Conduct market researches, ensure the developed products are in line with the market demand;
  • Conduct trainings to staff on products;
  • Participate in and advise on staff selection, Identify and assist in selection and management of specialized consultants.
  • Coordinate with Central Bank the attestation of the qualified personnel. Assist them in attestation exam preparations;
  • Advise on implementation of the banking program for new products;
  • Report to the management on timely basis and coordinate activities with legal department.
Qualifications: 
  • Proven track record in banking, including at senior and top management level;
  • Experience in setting up or merging banks is a strong plus;
  • Good relationship and ability to work with local authorities and central bank as required in terms of transformation into bank;
  • Strong organization skills, ability to work under high time pressure, high adaptability skills enabling to work with multi managers and partners, within changeable multi tasks environment;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills;
  • Knowledge of English is a must;
  • Extensive experience in project management;
  • Advance knowledge of Russian (written and spoken) would be plus;
  • Readiness to travel throughout Azerbaijan.
