Description: In this position, you will assist two Team Leaders/Work Experience Coordinators to establish and maintain cooperation necessary among employers, students and faculty to ensure all objectives of Work Experience programs are met. A solid understanding of Mount Royal work experience programs and benefits of work-based learning programs are essential.
Duties: Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting in providing meaningful work experience opportunities for students participating in Work Experience programs at Mount Royal University.
• Maintain employer-client relationships to ensure continued participation in the work experience component of programs.
• Build and maintain student relations including preparing students for success in the workplace.
• Assisting in workplace preparation for students.
Qualifications: • Diploma in General Business Administration and/or Marketing with 2-3 years’ experience
• Career Development credential and/or experience an asset
• Demonstrated marketing success
• Proven critical thinking skills and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a busy team-based work environment
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization and time management skills
• Strong computer proficiency in a windows environment (including proficiency with MS Access, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel)
• Self-starter: ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
• Group facilitation/presentation experience a strong asset
Salary: $1,850.58 semi-monthly
