World Vision Operations Director, Pakistan

The Operations Director, Pakistan will provide inspiration and to model empowering servant leadership for fundraising, Programme Design and Quality and all operations staff across Pakistan for programmes, Humanitarian Emergency Affairs (HEA), Transformational Development (TD), and Advocacy. You will provide guidance to the innovative Operations team to ensure that it is an open, non-hierarchical, collaborative, gender balanced, ethnically and religiously diverse team that is operating efficiently and effectively to achieve meaningful impact for Pakistan’s children.
We are looking for a visionary leader who can combine strong business disciplines with inspirational leadership skills in line with our values and ethos. You will have a passionate desire to help others, especially children.
SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Ensure a consistent and diverse pipeline of funding for both long - term development, advocacy and emergency programming.
• Ensure high quality, punctual and accurate M&E and programme and financial reporting on all projects.
• Guide staff in working very closely with children and parents with humility and respect, valuing their knowledge and experience. To demonstrate that marginalized, illiterate people possess rich knowledge and experiences and to help them build on their strengths to have greater power over their own future.
• To lead the development and implementation of the national strategy, ensuring relevance to the children and communities we serve. As a member of the SMT, to contribute to the overall WVP country strategy.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• At least 10 years’ experience in development, working in a developing country.
• Experience in Project Cycle Management and report writing.
• Knowledge of change management towards flat, open management style and away from hierarchical, command and control model.
• Clear understanding of the workings of major donor perspectives, requirements and standards.
• Must be able to represent World Vision to major programme donors in a highly professional manner, in person and in writing.
• Management and supervisory experience.
