ADVOCACY & COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP
The Millennium Water Alliance is looking for an intern for the fall of 2013. The full-time internship would focus on assisting the Advocacy Director with relationships with other NGOs, writing and posting for our website, news releases, social media, and other publications; attending meetings on Capitol Hill and with other international development organizations; and include the opportunity to create new projects to communicate with diverse audiences about the Alliance’s work in Africa, Latin America, and elsewhere.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent writing and proofreading skills; excellent computer skills with Microsoft office, and Adobe publications a plus; some familiarity with website posting and social media; some familiarity with international development, and basic communications and advocacy.
COMPENSATION:
A small stipend may be possible; reimbursement for daily commuting expenses also provided. Our new office is located in the center of downtown Washington, three blocks from the White House.
