Mission Ops: Special Projects Analyst

The Mission Operations team at Palantir is looking for extremely bright individuals who are willing to leave their egos at the door to provide lightning-fast, organized, and effective support where the business needs it most. Our team can get a complex hardware stack from concept to on the ground anywhere in the world in less time than most spend just figuring out how customs works. We can act as end-to-end travel agents for hundreds of people while also making sure they have the gear they need for an important meeting. We build internal tools, plan events, and design processes to reduce inefficiency wherever we see it. You can think of Mission Operations as a logistical Special Forces unit that stays behind-the-scenes and executes consistently at the highest level.
In the Special Projects role, you will consult with the Mission Operations team to help solve infrastructure problems that inevitably arise as Palantir scales and as our team takes on new responsibilities. This is not an analysis position, nor will you be handing off requirements to a development team - we’re looking for someone technical enough to implement solutions end-to-end in a self-reliant way.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize and make sense of data relevant to various business operations
  • Develop and implement systems to automate or improve efficiency in data collection, organization, and analysis
  • Do all of the above in a manner that promotes transparency, quick (but accurate) decision making, and, most importantly, scales with our rapidly growing company
Requirements
  • BA/BS
  • Excellent sense of customer service
  • High level of proficiency with technology, whether that means you’re an Excel ninja, web developer, or the informal IT support for everyone you know
  • Proficient enough with Linux to perform basic tasks (ssh, rsync, file system navigation) via the CLI without using Google
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience with project management, operations, IT support, or full-stack development
