International Development Disaster Management Specialist
Aurecon is expanding its international development team and is seeking a Disaster Management Specialist to lead our work in international development and facilitate cross-learning with Aurecon’s extensive disaster management capability.
Key requirements include:•         At least 10 years’ practical experience of working in developing countries in the field of disaster management and risk reduction
•         Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a complex organisation with strong influencing, negotiating and relationship-building skills

Preferred candidates will also have:•         At least 10 years’ experience of leading multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver outcomes, preferably in Asia
•         Strong familiarity with the work of international development donors in disaster risk reduction
•         Work experience in Indonesia, Philippines and/or Papua New Guinea or other Pacific countries
•         Some experience with AusAID projects and processes
•         Experience leading project pursuits and proposals in international development
•         The ability to work in one or more Asian languages
•         Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
The position is likely to be based in Asia or Australia. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the right candidate. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
