Senior Technical Positions in Jordan

Micro and Small Entrepreneurs Competitiveness and Local Economic Development

Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) is accepting expressions of interest from qualified local and regional candidates for a range of technical specialist positions anticipated in Jordan.

A call for proposals is expected from USAID for MSE Competitiveness and LED Project; as well as Workforce Development in Jordan. The objective of the MSE project is to: 1) Remove policy and regulatory constraints to growth of MSEs, 2) Strengthen capacity of MSEs to access financing and business development services, 3) Strengthen capacity of MFIs and banks to lend to MSEs, 4) Strengthen capacity of private sector and civil
society organizations to build MSE competitiveness and build linkages in targeted sectors and value chains, and 5) Launch public private partnerships at the local level through stronger local governments and Local Economic Development.

Senior Positions Anticipated:

• Chief of Party/Deputy Chief of Party
• Regulatory and Policy Specialist in Private Sector (MSE) Development
• Senior Inclusive Financial Services Specialist
• Senior Value Chain Specialist
• Senior SME Development Specialist
• Senior Local Economic Development Specialist
• Senior Workforce Development Specialist
• Senior Youth Specialist

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field of expertise.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in the field of interest (Financial Services, Private Sector Development, Value Chain).
• Prior experience working on private sector development projects funded by USAID or by other major donors.
• Demonstrated experience strengthening the capacity of public and private sector institutions in the agricultural sector.
• Professional, relevant experience in Jordan is essential, regional experience also highly preferred.
• Fluency in English and Arabic language is required.
• Appreciation of MEDA's values and philosophy.
