Compliance Officer Human Rights

The Compliance Officer Human Rights will report into the Manager Internal Control & Compliance. The compliance officer will perform sustainability management systems assessments and labour compliance assessments for factories in Europe, North Africa and Middle East. Our Compliance officer will work with suppliers to build capacity and enable factories to comply with the PVH compliance and sustainability programme.
1. Monitoring and Performance management
• Perform high quality social and eventually sustainable performance assessments
• Follow-up and monitor factory improvement progress
on any identified noncompliance issues
• Ensure compliance with local labor standards, health and safety,
and environmental protection at factory premises
• Organizing and administrating audits and conduct reviews
• Help compile data sets for labour and social performance at our suppliers
• Administrate existing internal and external datasystems
• Support annual Sustainability reporting cycle
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor the effectiveness
of remediation where required
• Help build and manage our Sustainable Industrial Systems programme
• Administrate environmental supply chain and product data
2. Remediation and Coaching
• Develop realistic and preventative corrective action plans with vendors/factories
• Support vendors and factories to conduct root cause analysis
to ensure remediation is sustained
• Provide advice and training to vendors/factories on
what robust and preventative management systems look like
• Support factories in the establishment of programs to address wages,
working hours, and worker-management communication systems
• Support factories to prioritize remediation
• Liaise with stakeholders on the measurement,
collection and sharing of social, labour and environmental impact data
3. Reporting
• Draft clear and comprehensive assessment reports
• Provide weekly CAP development status updates to Regional Leader
• Report and escalate severe violations, critical exposures,
and when progress is not being made
• Help translate external reporting requirements into clear data needs
• Experience in Environmental Self-assessment tools
4. Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in (Integrated) Environmental Management,
Human Rights, Business Management
• Experience in CSR, labour auditor, social compliance auditing, health and safety,
wages and benefits, lean manufacturing or other relevant subject
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to hold effective and respectful high level conversations
with senior factory management and sourcing managers
• Familiar with computer use, office software, and CAP
• Good knowledge of factory production processes and sourcing pressure points
• Mature personality and ability to handle conflicts
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Frequent travel is required
• Overtime work is possible
• Reports to regional Director Human Rights
