Established in 1964, we are the premier pan-African development institution promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent. Bringing together 77 member states, including 53 in Africa, we’re delivering the financial and technical support for truly transformative projects – and you will play a central role within our Chief Operating Officer’s Office, which focuses on allocating resources, enhancing monitoring, and management of performance/results.

At the heart of the Quality Assurance and Results team, you will proactively develop, support and maintain our Results Measurement Framework, whilst overseeing all aspects of data collection and collation. Equally importantly, you will implement qualitative and quantitative research into our achievements and take a pivotal part in the delivery of flagship publications including the Annual Development Effectiveness Review, thematic and country newsletters.

Naturally, you should be capable of building effective working relationships with multilateral development banks and the OECD and supervising contractors, demanding excellent interpersonal skills. At the same time, you will combine a master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies or Political Science with extensive experience of technical analysis and operational reporting. This will have given you everything you need to deal with complex and sensitive policy issues, establish clear plans and priorities, and produce high quality reports and briefing documents. You should be able to think strategically and synthesize complex issues. Finally, you should be very IT-literate and possess a good command of both spoken and written English or French, with a working knowledge of the other.
