The US Embassy is seeking an individual for the position of Administrative Assistant at the United States Agency for International Development.
Basic Function of Position
This position is part of the Program & Operations Unit team within USAID/Tanzania. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support, including logistics and basic procurement tracking for the Health Office team. This position supports programs, staff members and implementing partners. The Administrative Assistant (AA) will provide the full range of administrative functions, including logistical, procurement tracking, information gathering including program and project documentation and storage in support of the Health Team's operational objectives and program areas under American Foreign Assistance Framework, Investing in People. Under the supervision of the Program & Operations Officer, the AA initiates administrative documents for team programs and activities and performs a variety of programmatic and administrative support duties.

Basic Function of Position
This position is located in USAID/Tanzania's Strategic Planning and Program Support Office (SPPS), and includes a range of strategic, programmatic, management, coordination, monitoring and research responsibilities. The incumbent will be the primary point of contact of the coordination of Government to Government (G2G) USAID support in Tanzania. In that capacity, slhe will support technical team efforts in planning and designing G2G mechanisms, track all Mission's activities related to G2G support, coordinate with other Development Partners and inform the Mission about ongoing mechanisms that use host country government systems, such as specific basket funds, and project funding, and their various degrees of success and practicability. The incumbent will serve as resources to Mission technical teams regarding the use of host country stems and G2G funding.
The incumbent will manage activities that support the Mission's Implementation and Procurement Reform (IPR) Unit around host country government system support mechanisms, coordinating with other Development Partners, such as specific basket funds and project funding, and their various degrees of success and practicability. Minimum qualifications and Requirements:
-University Postgraduate degree in Nautical Science, Maritime safety, Maritime Education and Training, Marine Engineering, or Master or Chief Engineer or its equivalent;    
-Bachelor Degree in Nautical Science, Maritime safety, Maritime Education and Training, Marine Engineering, or Master or Chief Engineer or its equivalent; and
-At least ten (10) years of working experience, three (3) years of which must be at senior managerial position in a reputable    1/ institution (preferably Maritime/shipping services institution), Candidates' Attributes for the Above Vacant Position to be filled:

Hospital Engineer for Maternity Hospital Development(Ref: 28)

Temporary Post of Driver Cum Tour Guide
Tanzania -Tourist Board
Area: Dar Es Salaam
Position Description:
The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) is a Government Institution established by Tanzania Tourist Board Act, CAP 364, R.E. 2002. Its main function is to promote tourist attractions within and outside the country.
TTB is looking for driver to be employed under temporary terms and conditions for a period of three months which may be renewed after completion of every contract term.
Major Activities of the job:
-To drive assigned TTB's vehicles;
-To carry out transfers to and from airport;
-To carry out game drives in national parks, guiding and attending visitors;
-To ensure that the vehicle assigned to him is in good running condition and clean;
-To maintain an up-to-date log book of all trips the vehicle makes, fuel/oil and repairs, services made to the vehicle;
-To follow up traffic issues and cases; .
-To ensure that measures for efficiency and effective control of the vehicles are maintained, etc.
-To carry out general duties in and out of office as required and assigned from time to time by his supervisors. These duties include delivering/relaying messages, mails, etc. in and out of the office;
-To keep vehicle records for various usages.
Qualifications:
Form IV or Form VI with class C or C1 or C2 driving licence with-a clean driving record of not less 4 years. He must also possess a Certificate or Diploma in tour guiding with not less than two years of post-qualification experience. Those who have worked as driver cum tour guide with a Tanzanian travel agent will have an added advantage.
Salary
Attractive salary and fringe benefits in accordance with TTB staff regulations will be paid to the successful candidates.
