Summary of Position
SFCG is seeking interns on a rolling basis (with immediate openings) to learn about Human Resources in a practical environment as a supplement to their studies. Interns will be involved in supporting an active, internationally-focused, non-profit organization in many different facets of HR. This intern will assists in the implementation of a new HRIS system. He/she will be responsible for entering confidential data into the system.

Search for Common Ground has a great work environment with a mission of peace-building around the world, hard-working and friendly co-workers, team-building opportunities, and involvement in Staff events (i.e. monthly Staff meetings, peace-building films, and brown bag sessions, such as informational seminars by employees). Responsibilities
- Entering confidential HR information into a computer processing system
- Ensure that all data is entered in a timely manner
- Scan and upload all supporting documents into the system
- Obtain missing data or required documents for employees
- Entering intern Data into Bamboo
- Establishing BambooHR as the centralized database for all employee information worldwide by working with HR Reps in Country offices.
- Offer training to HR Reps in Country offices on data retention.
- Offer training to new employees on how to navigate the system.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Majoring in human resources, information techonology, industrial or organizational psychology, business, or related field
- Accurate Data Entry skills and good attention to detail
- high degree of professional and personal ethics
- Highly confidential manner
- Positive customer service attitude
- French language skills a plus but not required
- Excellent organizational skills with a proactive style and the ability to meet deadlines, both as instructed and self-imposed
- Self-starting, enthusiastic and flexible approach to the organization
- Ability to work well individually as well as a member of a team
- Strong people and presentation skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to learn and implement tasks quickly
- Excellent and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Desire to work in a non-profit setting
- Flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively and independently in a team environment, with the ability to respond rapidly to changes, yet remain focused on the priorities.
Salary: This is an unpaid internship.
