ZAMBIA - ASSISTANT PROGRAMME COORDINATOR

Location: Kabwe with frequent travel to Kapiri Mposhi District
Restless Development is a youth-led International NGO which places young people at the forefront of change and development. In Zambia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders, we are implementing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), livelihoods and Civic participation awareness raising and capacity building interventions in Schools, Colleges of Education (Teacher Training Colleges) and Communities. The activities under the intervention are implemented and led by trained young Volunteer Peer Educators (VPEs).
With support from Egmont Trust we will be implementing the Girls Like Us Project in Kapiri Mposhi District. The Project aims to:
1. Increase uptake of quality HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health services and access to comprehensive sexuality education for adolescents and young people (including those engaging in sex work)
2. Increase access to and engagement in safe and productive livelihood opportunities for adolescent girls and young women
3. Increase the participation of adolescent girls and young women in decision-making affecting their SRH in their communities
This entry-level role is well-suited to a dynamic, committed and passionate person who will play a key role in the delivery and support of our volunteer-led programmes (specifically the Girls Like Us project) in Kapiri Mposhi, working with rural-based communities and volunteers throughout the District.
