Key performance areas
The Sourcing Unit Manager, Rock Tools, Santiago Production Unit (PU), is responsible to manage and coordinate all sourcing activities, drive overall purchasing performance and lead transformative change efforts within Unit.
Is responsible for building a sourcing organization with required infrastructure, to execute best-in-class strategic sourcing within Unit.
Is responsible for achieving performance targets set by sub PA Rock Tools Sourcing Director by leveraging total cost of ownership levers, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the organization, and cooperating will all key stakeholders within BA.
About the position
  • Responsible for adherence to internal and external policies, regulations and laws.
  • Responsible for suppliers’ compliance on Sandvik policies and guidelines including EHS, Supplier Code of Conduct etc.
  • Together with Clusters/Categories/Supplier KAM manage and develop a sustainable supplier base that supports PA strategy.
  • Together with Clusters/Categories/Supplier KAM manage negotiations for strategic suppliers within PA.
  • Manage PA compliance with, and use of global and local contracts.
  • Together with Clusters/Categories/Supplier KAM select, manage and develop suppliers through supplier performance scorecards and supplier performance reviews.
  • Monitor savings and define budget impact - track planned and achieved savings and build methods for incorporating savings from sourcing teams into annual operating budgets.
  • Lead planning efforts - prepare annual and long-term strategic sourcing plans which identify how the strategic sourcing organization intends to achieve BA/PA targets.
  • Drive performance in PA organization by set targets and KPIs.
  • Secure implementation of sourcing projects to optimize total cost of ownership for PA.
  • Secure implementation and lead the development of processes, systems and tools.
  • Collaborate within BA to ensure sharing and implementation of best practices, execution of continues improvements, and implementation of global strategies.
  • Participate in BA/PA/RSO committees and task forces to ensure that strategic sourcing’s input is integrated into decisions and initiatives.
  • Establish relationships with other functions (e.g. engineering, operations, marketing, quality) to ensure understanding and support of strategic sourcing perspective to key processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for PA Sourcing, support development and implement global category strategies through development of local category strategies.
  • Attract talent, manage and develop organization; including hiring, training and development, retention, coaching, motivating and succession planning.
  • Provide annual budgetary estimates including manpower, assets, equipment etc.; manage and control expenses within budget.
  • Continuously update and manage sourcing information in (Savings Project Database), ERP, and other company system according to policies and procedures.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with: University degree in related field or equal experience.
A minimum a few years of experience in relevant positions, experience with matrix organizations and managing cross functional team and complex products and services.
Experience in sourcing.
