Expression of Interest (EOI) for Implementing Partners for SRF-Funded Stabilization Programme in Warrap
The Sudan Recovery Fund (SRF) has recently approved a Round 3 allocation for the Warrap State Stabilization Programme, and has nominated UNDP as lead agency. With the aim of expediting the selection of potential implementing partners, UNDP is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from United Nations (UN) organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that are suitably qualified and experienced in Southern Sudan, as implementing partners to undertake activities in support of the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) and the Government of Warrap State, in the following areas of activity:
(1) CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION of THREE ROADS (approximately 190 km) through LABOUR-BASED and MECHANIZED APPROACH:
· Aweng – Manyenjur road (approximately 25km)
· Warrap Town – Akop – Pakur – Meshra road (approximately 111 km)
· Macuac – Apabuong road (approximately 65 km)
NB: EOIs should also include cost of a detailed road and baseline survey, Socio-Economic and Environmental Impact Assessments, and Conflict Assessment, and approach/activities for ensuring maintenance and sustainability.
(2) CONSTRUCTION of FOUR POLICE POSTS.
· One Police post in Manyenjur
· One Police post near Akop/Meshra/Pakor (local Community/authorities requested Meshra). Final location to be confirmed through further consultation with Warrap State Government.
· One Police post in Makuac (Panak)
· One Police post in Panom
NB: Each police post should include one bore hole (with electric submersible pump), solar panels and communication equipment. EOIs should include cost of a Conflict Assessment in target areas.
(3) CONSTRUCTION OF TWO HAFFIRS (30,000m3 capacity each) for watering cattle, with TWO BOREHOLES EACH for HUMAN CONSUMPTION:
· One Haffir (30,000 m3 capacity) and Two Boreholes near Makuac
