Innovation Bid Writer

Our Innovation team is seeking enthusiastic, creative and self motivated candidates to write bids for new product development funding in a diverse range of fields including environmental technologies, renewable energy, mechanical, electronics, advanced materials and healthcare technologies. This role requires someone who can generate and develop innovative ideas, work to tight deadlines as well as work closely with clients, research providers, colleagues and project partners.

You will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent experience) in a science or business-related subject and preferably hold a post graduate degree (PhD, MSc). Along with an excellent technical and/or academic background, you will have experience or have a keen interest in commercial factors relating to new product development.

Ideally, you will have experience of preparing and writing European Commission funding bids.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Consulting; structuring business needs into clear new product development strategies that create business opportunities for clients
  • Energetically leading the drive to understand and create solutions to complex technology and industry problems
  • Providing the advice and insight backed with analysis that enables clients to buy-in to proposed solutions and bid strategies
  • Creating strategic partnerships required to develop and supply new product solutions to market
  • Identifying and building relationships with experts and research organisations needed to create quality bids
  • Authoring complex, detailed, well structured research and development bids of high quality that meet the eligibility criteria of Pera and the funding body
  • Timely planning, management, completion and review of bids
  • Creating innovative approaches to preparing high quality and efficient bids
  • Leading the negotiation of funded bids through to contract
