Research Analyst

CPWR - The Center for Construction Research and Training (www.cpwr.com) is a non-profit organization located in Silver Spring, Maryland on the red line and is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and other federal government agencies.

The Research Analyst position involves analyzing large-scale, national survey data (e.g., the National Health Interview Survey, Health and Retirement Study, etc.), summarizing statistical results, preparing presentations and other graphical representations, and drafting reports, briefs, and articles for publication and dissemination. The candidate must possess excellent research, synthesis, and writing skills; strong analytical and critical thinking background; high attention to detail; and the ability to organize work projects and complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Knowledge of statistics and statistical packages are required (SAS preferred). Proficiency in word processing applications such as MS Word, and other software applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is essential. Knowledge of national health surveys is highly desirable.

The candidate must have at least a master’s degree with a quantitative emphasis such as epidemiology, public health, statistics, and other related fields. Relevant job experience is a plus.
