Administrative Assistant/Legal Documentalist EUMETSAT

EUMETSAT is the European satellite agency for monitoring weather and climate. Bringing together the resources of 26 member states, we develop and operate a range of satellite systems surveying the atmosphere, land and ocean that deliver vital data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our data contribute to weather forecasts that protect lives and property across Europe. EUMETSAT is now embarking in new and challenging satellite development programmes, shaping its long term future.

Our Legal Affairs Division delivers a wide-ranging and responsive service and has responsibility for developing our Data Policy. Operating at its heart, you will manage and publish all our legal documents and establish licences with users of our data, whilst providing administrative support to colleagues across the Division. This will involve maintaining our intranet pages, constantly tracking document status, liaising with member states and users on licensing issues and preparing activity reports for our delegate bodies, so you can expect considerable variety and stimulation.

Alongside a good general education, you will require sound administrative experience within a multilingual environment. Fully fluent in English and with a good command of French, you should be familiar with the Microsoft Office suite, SAP and electronic document management systems, and very team-oriented in your approach. Finally, experience in a document management or librarian role would be very useful, as would specialist training in this field.

Attractive employment conditions are offered, in terms of salary, comprehensive benefits including health and social welfare provision, and extensive relocation assistance if applicable.
