Assistant Tester

JRA is one of the Agencies established through the restructuring process of the City of Jhb. Our primary focus is to become a Premier Roads Network Operator and service provider in the country.

Assistant Tester
Basic salary: R5 987 – R7 014 per month

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement – Grade 12
  
• Ability to demonstrate the necessary competencies developed through experience
  
• Planning and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory sand to be tested
  
• Compact soil samples in moulds
  
• Excavate profile pits by hand, tools or mechanical methods
  
• Reinstate holes in roads
  
• Clean laboratory working areas and equipment
  
• Sieve density sand
  
• Assist with other tests as directed.
