Consultant in Primary Health Care for the Ministry of Health

Kuwait's Ministry of Health seeks the professional services of a Consultant in the field of Primary Health Care and Mental Health in order to put together a Strategic Plan for the Primary Health Care System and Mental Health within the Ministry of Health in order to overcome and the psychological disabilities and provide tools to identify it, screen and assess for it as well as intervention techniques to overcome it.

Duties and Responsibilities

Review existing plan of Primary Health Care and produce a report on it; Produce a report evaluating the current situation vis-à-vis mental health provisions within the Primary Health Care Department at the Ministry of Health; Conduct 3 training courses for physicians on how to offer mental health services within the primary health care department at the Ministry of Health. Objectives: Review Kuwait's current plan in the field of mental health; Evaluate the current situation including working practices within the Department of Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health; Conduct training courses for physicians working in the field of primary health care on how to better offer advanced services in the field of mental health. Expected Outputs: Review Report; Evaluation Report; Training Courses.

Competencies

The ability to speak and write English fluently; Past relevant expertise in executing similar projects; Past relevant expertise in organizing and delivering training courses; A relevant degree in the field of speciality.

Required Skills and Experience

Relevant Degree in the field of speciality (Minimum Bsc).
