The School of Education (SOE) provides teacher education programs from Early Childhood Education through primary and secondary schools to tertiary institutions. It also provides in-service teacher professional development programs in educational leadership and change, special and inclusive education, TVET and NFE, assessment and evaluation, library studies and untrained teachers.
The School of Education is seeking applications for a Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Non-Formal, Community Education and TVET Programme.
For appointment as Lecturer, the Lecturer must have a PhD and formal teaching qualification; has had significant years of teaching and work experiences in Non-Formal, Community Education and TVET disciplines; some record of research and publications in relevant subject areas. For appointment as Assistant Lecturer, the applicant must have a strong Masters degree and formal teaching qualification; some tertiary teaching experience in Non-Formal, Community Education and TVET discipline.
Preference will be given to applicants who may have knowledge and experience in community work and outreach; teaching distance and flexible courses; a knowledge of MOODLE or similar online learning support, very good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: Lecturer F$59,813 to F$78,700 per annum
Assistant Lecturer F$48,388 to F$58,066 per annum
(Inclusive of 15% Gratuity)

In addition to the above benefits, the University contributes 10% of basic salary to an approved superannuation scheme, provides airfare and relocation costs where appropriate.
