WORK CONTENXT The Project Reforço da segurança alimentar nos Distritos de Nhamatanda e Búzi (Sofala) e Marracuene (Maputo), Moçambique has been implemented since November 1, 2009 by Cesvi in partnership with ORAM, Associação Rural de Ajuda Mutua and FONDAZIONE PARCO TECNOLOGICO PADANO (PTP). The target group is represented by 1,350 families (about 8,000 people): members of associations and individual farmer's families, 20 agricultural technicians, trainers and extension workers. Final beneficiaries are 47,900 farmers of: Marracuene, localities of Machubo and Macaneta (cca 8,700); Buzi: localities of Guara Guara and Bandua (ca 27,600); Nhamatanda: locality of Bébedo (11,600). The action Overall Objective is the improvement of food security conditions for the population in Sofala and Maputo Provinces in Mozambique, having as indicator the increased availability of food crops for consumption and marketing. The Specific objective is to increase the agricultural production and improvement of marketing conditions for agricultural products in the Districts of Nhamatanda e Buzi (Sofala) e Marracuene (Maputo), having as indicator both the agricultural production and its volume increased and products sold in the project areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION The collaboration will start in October. All the information below are to be considered for both evaluations. 1 .PERIOD AND DURATION OF THE EVALUATION: The first Evaluation will take place from the 6th of October to the 14th of October, CESVI will provide accommodation and transport in the field (any other expenses will be covered by the consultant also any transportation cost from Maputo). The second evaluation will take place May/June 2012 (to be confirmed), all the expenses should be considered in the offer. The Consultant can apply for one or both of the above mentioned evaluations (where not specified, the application will be considered incomplete and refused). EVALUATION SCOPE The evaluation will cover all interventions, in the three project's location (Nhatamanda, Búzi and Marracuene), for the implementation period since 01/11/2010 until the evaluation period.
PRODUCTS TO BE DELIVERED The consultant shall produce: Draft final report: the draft final report should also synthesize all findings and conclusions into an overall assessment of the project/program. The report should be presented within 15 days from the conclusion of the field mission; Final report: incorporating any comments received from the concerned parties on the draft report, to be presented within 7 days of the receipt of these comments. Target audiences of the evaluation are the implementing Agency (Cesvi) and the EC Delegation in Mozambique
