Salary: R483 594 per annum (all-inclusive) (Ref. H11/201)
Requirements:
- One of the following qualifications that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic: Critical Care Assistant (CCA) programme, Emergency Care Technician (ECT) programme, Bachelor Emergency Medical Care (BEMC/BTech), or equivalent
- Current registration with the HPCSA
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of emergency healthcare, including at least 3 years’ experience in a management position (managing staff, finance, workload and delegation)
- Unendorsed valid driver’s licence.
Competencies:
- Highly competent, enthusiastic and knowledgeable practitioner to manage the EMS Training College
- Knowledge of BLS, ILS and ALS protocols
- Understanding of EMS and its line of business
- Knowledge of Basic Medical Rescue
- Knowledge of rules and regulations of Road and Traffic ordinance
- Good facilitation and communication skills
- Knowledge of practical patient management
- Ability to implement emergency procedures
- Ability to work under pressure.
Duties:
- Be responsible for all EMS training activities in the Province
- Ensure programmes are in placeto meet CPD requirements of staff
- Implement training programmes on all aspects of quality management
- Ensure the control and inventory of all training resources in the Province, including any training fleet
- Supportthe EMS Director in the control and implementation of the EMS policies and procedures
- Entrench a healthyand safe environment and follow up continuously
- Undertake any other duties as allocated by the EMS Director.
