Salary: R455 634 – R755 892 per annum depending on the years of experience

Requirements
:

  • Appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the HPCSA as Medical Officer
  • Current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.

  • Professional competence in and knowledge of the application of clinical theory, practice and ethics in healthcare, current clinical literature, current protocols, as well as current health and Public Service legislation, regulations and policies
  • Skills in terms of consultation, history taking, examination, clinical assessment, management, clinical procedures (level)
  • Skills in good communication, report writing, facilitation, co-ordination, liaison, networking, decision-making, project planning, analytical thinking, negotiation
  • Computer literacy
  • Change management
  • Problem-solving and writing skills
  • Development of self
  • Professional attitude and ethics in relation to patients/families/community, referral, consent for treatment, multidisciplinary management, teamwork, medical records and reports, responsiveness, professionalism, accuracy, innovation and creativity, flexibility, independence, co-operativeness, supportive compassion, empathy, patience, continuous professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to core medicine principles such as caring for person, continuity of care, quality comprehensive involvement.


Duties:

  • Provide and support quality clinical service
  • Support the integration and extension of clinical care in the health system
  • Audit and improve quality in health services
  • Support the development of the health system.
