The Faculty invites applications for full-time posts at various professoriate levels from academics in any area of law. Preference for some posts will be given to applicants offering teaching in contract law, tort law, public law (constitutional and administrative law), land law and conveyancing as well as dispute resolution (in particular procedure and mediation). Applicants for the post of Research Assistant Professor should have a relevant doctoral degree with postdoctoral research experience. Applicants with substantial professional experience may be considered for appointment as Professional Consultant. Applications for appointment on a part-time basis will also be considered.

Appointment(s) will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation (not for Professional Consultants or Research Assistant Professors) later.

Salary and Fringe Benefits
Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for an appointment of two years or longer and housing benefits for eligible appointee.

[Annual salary ranges: Professor: from HK$964,440 to HK$1,333,620 or above; Associate Professor: from HK$803,520 to HK$1,024,740; Assistant Professor: from HK$614,820 to HK$803,520; Professional Consultant: from HK$447,720 to HK$1,004,640; Research Assistant Professor: from HK$447,720 to HK$641,580 (approximate exchange rates in September 2011 for reference : GBP1 = HK$12.5; US$1 = HK$7.8; AU$1 = HK$8.2)]
