| Duties: The successful applicant will be required to (i) teach undergraduate as well as post-graduate courses; (ii) have capacity to teach in the area of social statistics and national accounts; (iii) supervise student’s projects as need may arise; (iv) undertake research either individually or with other members of staff in the department; (v) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department; (vi) provide service to the university and (vii) perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: Applicants must have: (i) a minimum of Masters degree in Statistics plus Bachelors degree in the relevant discipline with at least a 2(ii) pass; (ii) at least 3 years of teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; (iii) a good record of research and publications with at least 6 publications, 4 of which should be peer reviewed journal articles, lead or single author in at least 2; (iv) Evidence and/or specialization in Actuarial Sciences/Reliability, Economic statistics and national accounts will be added advantages; (vi) have evidence of service to a university, the profession and the community; (v) demonstration of academic leadership will be an added advantage.
