Salary: £25,472 to £31,454 (AFC6) plus High Cost Area Supplement
£29,972 to £35,788 (SGUL6) plus London Weighting.
Fixed term to March 2013
We will appoint either a Clinical Trials Nurse in which case the appointment will be on the NHS scale AFC Band 6 or a Clinical Trials Coordinator who will be appointed on the equivalent university scale SGUL6.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse, allied healthcare professional, or a graduate with significant experience in clinical research to join the South East Stroke Research Network. The South East Local Stroke Research Network (SE-LRN) covers South London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This post has been set up as part of the UK Stroke Research Network and its aim is to facilitate and increase the throughput of clinical trials and other high quality studies in all areas of stroke including acute care, prevention and rehabilitation. SESRN is one of eight networks throughout the UK.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the team of stroke research coordinators at St George's Hospital, the biggest recruiter to stroke trials in the network. The post holder will be actively involved in recruiting participants to stroke trials, as well as line management of the stroke trial coordinators within the team.
This post holder will be based at St George's Hospital in Tooting, South London and will be required to contribute to the weekend rota.
