Enrolled Nurse


Candidates should be registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse, have a proven track record as an Enrolled Nurse in the health sector and have been declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre. The role demands the ability to work under pressure and independently, preparedness to work extended hours on an ad hoc basis and sound diplomacy, discretion and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy is essential. Training in spirometry will prove advantageous.


Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Performing general Enrolled Nursing duties
  • Spirometry
  • Ordering and controlling stock
  • Taking cognisance of applicable nursing legislation and best practice principles
  • Executing daily routine and non-routine work according to Nursing Policies and Procedures within prescribed guidelines.
