Logistics/ Supply Chain Consultants- Sierra Leone

Assignment: IPA Africa Ltd. is performing a SUPPLY REVIEW project in Sierra Leone, for a UN Agency. In this assignment IPA will be reviewing the distribution and logistics of supplies, and will stock take facilities across the country quarterly over 2011 and 2012. A large part of the supplies are medicines and medical supplies.

Requirement: IPA is urgently looking for several experienced (Senior) Consultants to work as District Team Leaders for the period of 13th of January to 12th of February 2012.

Role & responsibilities: - Perform interviews and stock takes of medical stores, district hospitals, peripheral health units, schools and other implementing agencies. - Lead a District sub-team of 6-12 local consultants performing interviews and stock takes at peripheral health units. - Train local consultants in performing stock takes and interviews in the field, based on pre-defined IPA templates - Conduct market visits, with registered interviews to investigate possible leakage sources - Process & consolidate stock take outcomes of all facilities in district (60 to 120 facilities per district) - Prepare a consolidated written report for the district - Manage and report petty cash for carrying out all activities in the district

Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience either in Financial Auditing, Logistics/ Supply Chain and or Health Logistics; - Degree from an Internationally Recognized University in a relevant field (minimum qualification), degree in Business/ Finance preferred; - High level skills in data processing, Microsoft Access/ Excel; - Experience in working with local personnel in (West) Africa preferred, experience within the international development sector requested; - Fluency in English required; - Strong ability to work in a team, show initiative and accustomed to a fast (private) working environment; - High commitment to quality of work; - Stock-take experience, preferably in the health sector
