Grants Manager – The Papua New Guinea-Australia Agricultural Research Development Support Facility

The Papua New Guinea-Australia Agricultural Research Development Support Facility (ARDSF) is a five year (2007-2012) flexible funding mechanism aimed at increasing opportunities for rural smallholders in Papua New Guinea (PNG) to generate income and maintain food security. The ARDSF assists selected national agricultural research and development organisations to deliver improved services to their rural stakeholders. The facility also includes a competitive grants scheme, open to all interested stakeholders, to support innovations for agricultural development in PNG.

The AIGS Coordinator is responsible for delivering results under The Agricultural Innovations Grants Scheme (AIGS) component and will contribute to achieving the overall AIGS objective which is to support the dissemination of agricultural innovations to rural small-holders. This entails managing the effective operation and implementation of AIGS of the ARDSF.

You will ideally demonstrate the following: • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Prior experience in project-based environment, exhibiting team leadership role preferred • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in grants environment, with working knowledge of grants review/approval and due diligence activities • Must exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Please note that this position is open only for candidates based in Papua New Guinea.
