Fixed Term Contract - 3 January 2012 to 24 December 2012(Maternity Leave Cover)

You will be an experienced communications professional filling a temporary position within the Communications Office.

You will help implement a programme aimed at enhancing the University's profile and reputation with its UK stakeholders, by building positive relationships with local and national politicians, officers of government departments and local authorities, business and community organisations, and other important influencers.

You should have relevant experience in developing and implementing stakeholder communication programmes, and have the political acumen and communications skills to deal confidently with a wide range of audiences.

You need to be educated to degree standard or equivalent and have excellent written and communication skills. You should have the ability to assimilate detailed and complex information and posses the confidence to present this to external audiences in a user-friendly way.
