2012 - Business Graduate (Siemens Financial Services)

Siemens Financial Services Business Graduate - Starting Autumn 2012

You would be joining Siemens Financial Services (SFS) team as a business graduate, undertaking various job roles throughout a two year period. If successful you will be expected to fully perform an operational role as part of an existing team whist being involved in both project based assignments and cross-functional working. It is intended that you would build a compliment of skills that will enable you to take on a professional role at the end of the programme.

Key Activities:

The key activities and accountabilities will vary depending on the placement, however it is envisaged as a minimum that you would hold accountable for the following:

  • To learn specific in-house systems and applications to be able to contribute to future decision making in process improvement

  • To be able to meet all targets and objectives that has been set by the Line Manager. Typically there will be a minimum of 4 objectives per placement.

  • To be able to contribute to the teams overall performance by both individual effort and team effort as and when requirement.

  • To undertake research and offer suggestions for improvement to the placement through own initiative as well as when working on specific tasks and/or departmental projects.

  • To manage and drive their own career path and network. Attending all graduate and business specific training modules; demonstrating learning application in each placement.

  • To participate in and lead SFS Region North graduate meetings / projects.

  • To take a proactive role in participating in team, company and graduate events.

  • To support and develop the SFS Region North Business Programme through contributing design and knowledge of the business as it is acquired over the two year period.

Relationships you would be expected to have with:

All levels of managers and employees within the organisation

External customers

Region North Colleagues – Employees based in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark

SFS Head Quarter Colleagues – Employees based in Munich whom work for SFS

UK Graduate Population – all graduates who join Siemens

Essential Experience & Education:

To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of:

· Work experience, within a business role.

· a 2:1 or above (or equivalent) degree within a Business or Economics

Essential Job Skills and Knowledge:

· Ability to use Microsoft packages, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

· Ability to communicate effectively both over the telephone and face to face

· Ability to work with detail and learn information quickly

· Ability to compile reports and understand basic financial

· Ability to work on cross functional projects

· Ability to work as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail and a good command of English

· A Strong interest in Business and Financing Solutions

Additional Requirements

· Full Mobility within UK and Internationally

· Full time role - Mon to Fri – 35 hours per week

ClClosing date: 3rd Jan 2012 with interviews being held on the 1st and 2nd February followed by an assessment centre on the 23rd Feb 2011
