The Role

Siemens North West Europe (NWE) employs approximately 36,000 people across 10 countries. The Corporate IT function is based in Poole, UK, with geographically distributed teams through out the cluster of countries.

We are looking for Graduates to join our development programme that have a high attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills. The roles are office based but will involve some travel from time to time, including internationally, and placements in different parts of the UK.

The programme will cycle through placements in our Account Management, Projects & Programmes Office, Strategy & Planning, Service Delivery Management, Customer Services and Commercial functions. During these placements, the successful graduates will be exposed to international teams and the top executives in the company.

At the end of the programme, we are looking to develop high-potential candidates for our key Account Management, Business Analysis, Project Management and Strategy functions, and from there, the entire Siemens world will be available for your developing career.

About you

With a recent or upcoming Degree in Business with computing specialism or Information Technology, you will be eager to start your career with one of the world’s foremost engineering companies. Successful candidates will have a demonstrable track record of being a self-starter and achieving their goals in the face of challenges, with a desire to enhance and improve the organisation that you work for, and a passion for bringing good technology into an operational business context where it can make an impact to the bottom line.

Although formal certifications are not necessary, any experience or training in the following areas will serve to enhance applications:

- Project Management

- Operations Management and Quality Management

- IT Service Management

- IT Governance and Controlling

- Enterprise Architecture

Training & Development

As well as an in-house Induction and Career Development Programme, you will take part in the national Siemens Graduate Development Programme. This consists of a series of modules covering the personal skills you will need at this stage in your career. You will be assigned a mentor from within the business who will coach you in developing and working within a complex organisation. You will also receive job specific training and development.

Additional Information

Although based in Poole, one of the placements will be at another Siemens location, so you will be required to travel and must be willing and flexible to relocate for short periods of time. A short international assignment is also envisaged, so you must be comfortable with the concept of working away from home in different cultures.

Minimum Requirements

Degree: You will be graduating or have graduated, with a minimum 2:2 degree in Business with a computing specialism or Information Technology, and an interest in applying this knowledge in a commercial environment.

Relevant work experience is desirable, but not essential.
