The Sales division of Services within the UK are looking for an Account Manager to join the team. The role will be reporting into the Service Sales Manager and the key purpose of this function within the team is to maximise business, particularly by developing new project opportunities.

Position description | The AM will be responsible for sales/customer - Main focus: pro-active sales and customer care - Focus on customer visits and business management focus with tech. maritime background - Additional scope of responsibilities: - Sales/Margin - Form of Agreements/Contracts - Risk management - Customer relationship management - Overall Sales strategy, planning and resource deployment - Expansion of sales activities and increase in sales Accountabilities: 1. The key purpose of this function within the team is to maximise business, particularly by developing new project opportunities 2. Accuracy and professional standard of work 3. Sales and Margin 4. To meet the specific performance targets agreed in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager; monitor the performance of these targets on a monthly basis and take appropriate action to maintain performance with support and assistance from other colleagues as necessary 5. Operate in an efficient and effective manner and give close attention to all business transactions at all times – key issues being response and delivery to customers, regular monitoring of supplies, and pursuing any problems in a timely and diligent manner to a rapid and satisfactory conclusion 6. Compliance at all times with appropriate QA and Health & Safety procedures |
Responsibilities | Main Responsibilities: 1. To lead the Wartsila Services business development strategy, with particular focus on projects. To build and maintain close contact between the company and new customers that leads to new sales of products and solutions. 2. To maintain regular contact by visiting key personnel in customer organisations and to present all category products in a manner reflecting the Company's values. To assist customers with budget planning for maintenance of all Wartsila products where identified. 3. To encourage customers to plan their spares and maintenance needs. 4. To maintain a customer database and CRM tool. To issue visit reports within agreed timescales. 5. To work as a team with support staff, i.e. project engineers, production, design teams and site supervisors. 6. To agree and achieve budgets according to the number of customers allocated, and to achieve the agreed profit margin. 7. To meet the specific performance targets allocated to the function by the Service Sales Manager. 8. To comply with the company’s Quality, Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies. 9. In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post. Requirements | HND Engineering or Equivalent Professional sales person with a proven sales record in the oil and gas market. Professional Skills: Track record of growing sales, selling services and tailored solutions.
