Director: Planning and Operations Bloem Water

Director: Planning and Operations
Bloemfontein



Bloem Water requires a Director: Planning and Operations with a recognised Engineering degree (Pr Eng),
3 years' extensive management and technical experience and a minimum of 5 years’ water engineering experience.


Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Water supply management: • Planning, organising, monitoring and coordinating resources to optimise supply • Developing a water management system • Developing maintenance plans • Developing contingency plans • Engaging with customers and entering into supply agreements. Process engineering: • Ensuring compliance with SABS standards with regard to quality • Ensuring proper quality management. Financial management and reporting: Providing input into the annual budget, approving departmental expenditure and managing/reporting accordingly. Strategic management: Ensuring effective strategic management in terms of planning, Human Resources management and capacity building. Stakeholder relations: • Effectively engaging with stakeholders from DWAE to Suppliers to Customers • Actively seeking business and community partnership opportunities • Developing a customer charter to ensure customer satisfaction. Engineering services: • Developing, approving and implementing the Capex plan • Overseeing and monitoring project management • Overseeing, developing and implementing an integrated environmental management plan.



Requirements
: • Organising and resource management skills • Report writing and presentation skills • Computer literacy at skilled level • An understanding of water systems and processes • Business acumen. An MBA would be an added advantage.
