Oracle Engineered Solutions, Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exalogic can help customers transform their IT operations and meet the needs of the business, while reducing costs and increasing agility. To accelerate the largest deals across EMEA we seek applications for an elite team of Transformation Architects.

Applicants should be very senior architects and have significant experience of helping businesses transform their architecture approach – for example by moving to a standardized, consolidated and more agile IT estate.

Transformation Architects will be an intrinsic part of the Exa Solutions Sales team and have a single focus on positioning Exadata and Exalogic at the heart of the largest Transformation projects. They will be measured on the overall Engineered Solutions business in EMEA.

Transformation Architects bridge the gap between business and technology –speaking the

value language of business and technology Clevel individuals. They combine a

deep understanding of technology, industry best practices, business processes and architectural

patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives of our customers.

As we build our team, we are looking for seasoned senior level professionals to join our team of

architects who not only posses deep experience with technology transformation but also significant

experience in data center architecture.

The role is predominately a Sales Consulting role, with positions open across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

These roles will report to Senior Director of Transformation Engagement. The Transformation Architects will form part of the EMEA Oracle Architects Community and will be part of all architecture-related programmes and certifications.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to and drive largest Exa deals in EMEA as directed by Exa Solutions team with rigorous sales focus.

  • Work in collaboration with local account and sales consulting team (X-stack –hardware, technology and applications), Data Centre Insight Programme Directors, Oracle Consulting, Global Client Advisors etc.

  • Exercise creativity, independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

  • Interact with all roles at customer – including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, technical staff and Business representatives

  • Lead detailed discovery analysis

  • Conduct repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap and planning workshops

  • Provide assessment of current state architecture and recommendation of future state architecture

  • Provide detailed sizing and associated justification

  • Identify and evangilise key business and technology benefits of Exa adoption

  • Provide roadmap and migration methodology and identify quick wins

  • Advise on organisational impact of Exa solutions

  • Play an active role as part of the EMEA architecture community

  • Remain fully aware of relevant architectural programmes and assets from Oracle worldwide

  • Remain aware of all relevant product developments and references – both at Oracle and at competitors





Skills required:

  • Wide background including architecture, implementation and delivery of largescale hardware and software systems in real-world situations

  • Wide knowledge of IT market and trends

  • TOGAF 9 certified, or working towards TOGAF 9 certification

  • Detailed knowledge of Exadata and Exalogic is an advantage

  • Knowledge of full Oracle stack is a plus

  • Detailed knowledge of Oracle and competitor hardware solutions

  • Some specific knowledge of Oracle database and middleware technology

  • Detailed knowledge of architectural approaches including consolidation, cloud computing, virtualization, disaster recovery, information management, big data, java applications, Oracle and non Oracle applications

  • 10+ years experience relevant to this position.
