Head of Finance - Americas

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Head of Finance for the Americas to work in our Washington DC Broadcast Centre. The Head of finance directs and coordinates the company’s financial planning and budget management functions. She/he is responsible for corporate accounting and internal reporting for AJi International USA Inc., and its subsidiaries. Duties and Responsibilities include: Manages and leads a team of senior accountants and intermediate accountants. Manages the performance and evaluation processes for its staff to meet the network’s vision and objectives. Responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts and cash management. Responsible for assuring that the internal controls in place are adequate and in compliance with all corporate governance requirements. Completes month end procedures as per closing checklist and ad-hoc financial analysis. Works closely with department heads in forecasting their department overheads and prepares monthly forecast update. Maintains schedules and books as per the USA GAAP. Prepares or reviews annual audit work papers for the external auditors. Assists in the preparation of annual audited financial statements. Prepares and/or reviews the City Business License, property, corporate tax, VAT, and other government forms. Prepares reviews and analyses of corporate allocation and recoveries. Reviews intercompany billings to parent company, and follow up of payment. Prepares the annual corporate budgets Manages company's relationship with bankers, auditors, companies’ houses, insurers and other third parties. Manages special projects as and when required. The right candidate must have a Minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least two years in a supervisory level, intermediate to advanced applications software expertise (Great plains, Oracle, SAB ,Sage, Microsoft Axapta, Excel and other accounting software). Experience in forecasting, budgeting, planning and cash management, corporate accounting and corporate taxes preparation is a must. Audit experience is highly desirable. Experience working in a multicultural/International environment and in the media industry is highly desirable.
